Another one of my favs.....

SUNSETS!

i love how i get the front seat to all the sunsets there are every day.. whether it is through my window or on my balcony.. sunsets usually start at around 6:30pm. i love seeing the change of colors and movements of clouds traveling.. that is one thing you can't get in the states.. (well rarely) hahaha

it sucks being allergic!

the first few days i arrived in st-lucia, i got attacked by mosquitoes and other types of bugs. they love my bloood. damn female mosquitoes and their saliva. Now i know because of them, i get the Skeeter syndrome... be prepared for beautiful pictures of my feet.. i swear they are usually clean and nice looking.. but MAN.. it looks like i injured my ankle like no other compared to my right ankle.. it was hurting so bad for 4-5 days. I could barely walk and fit in my flip flops.. DAMN YOU MOSQUITOES. GO TO HELL!! that is all :]. other than i have like bite craters all over my legs and arms now too... :(

ADVICE

please wear bug repellent when you come to the islands :]

my island home

i got out early today! yay! it just means more time for me to study for my exams coming up on monday. i MUST do well.. these are my #3 exams for the semester.. ACK!! but here you go guys :]
it makes me feel special that you guys are taking the time to read about my island life! hehe

here are pics of my apt. like my friend tuan says it looks like im living in a mansion. haha
or im living the baller life on the islands!

my kitchen is bigger than berkeley apt ones! my building is a nice white and blue apt complex. theres many of these complexes that belongs to MARTHA. the apt manager. shes like the queen of this island. everyone knows this lady... man shes a good business woman though. it's nice to not know my apt address because i just need to tell whoever im talking to that i live at Martha's and they are like "OOH OK i know the address." right on the spot! ahhha. I have several mango trees. yummy. we are known for mangos. that is why 90% of St-Lucians have diabetes. Not only they eat one mango, they eat a whole basket of mangos at once! haha its true!

daily drives to school

i should take a picture of my rented car on this island for you guys. i don't even know what kind of car it is! haha. i'm sharing it with 3 other girls since all of us just go to school at around the same time anyways, so that it turns out to be cheaper. 75$US/month.

on the plus side, when i do get the car to myself, i get to enjoy the drive along the ocean to school or back to my apt. the color of the ocean always mesmerizes me everytime with its teal/blue-ish color. That's something i will definitely miss when i live back in the states after another year. it's breath taking. Also, i drive on the left side of the road, with the steering wheel on the right side of the car! ahaha i can drive anywhere around the world now! Now there's an advantage!
